The string on one side has bits that have been torn off, but the string itself is still intact within the material.
Non-smoker and personally very sensitive about smells (I also live with someone with fragrance allergies). There is a slight laundered smell to this piece as I have not worn it out myself and it came this way.
There are 2 cats in my household but they don't enter the room where I store these.
