H. Naoto Blood Ethereal Long White Dress
Long white dress from H. Naoto Blood and corset patterning.
What comes to mind when you see this dress? Ophelia in the river? Bright maidens in dark woods? The haunting of a grieving ghost? Whit gauze covers white cotton fabric to create an ethereal effect. The layers swirl and float around the feet, long lace and ruffles obscuring footsteps. On the top of the dress crocheted lace trims a square neckline to give a historical feel to the dress. While the gauze overlayer is printed in white and silver with ribbons and butterflies, the cotton underneath has pictures of corsets and old-fashioned script. An invisible side zipper helps you to slip in and out of the dress, while decorative lacing in the front helps create the illusion of strength behind delicacy. ***** Measurements: Bust: 88cm Waist: 78cm Length from shoulder to hem: 128cm This dress has a very draping fit. I am much smaller than the measurements but found it to be very flattering. ***** This dress has been worn many times and, while in good repair and very sound in construction, has some minor flaws. The bottom lace is very loosly-woven and has a few snags in it, which are not noticable. The armpit area has slight discoloration, particularly in the right armpit. This was much greater when I received it, and I have had success reducing the stain via Oxyclean soaking, but it is still there on the edges. I got around the stain by wearing the dress with a bolero for a Regency effect. Other than that it is in good condition. Beginning to show signs of wear considering its age (7+ years, I believe) but no pilling, cracks in the print, or other defects. Has been recently washed.

Yes, the outer gauze layer is polyester, while the inner white layer is cotton. The lace at the bottom is also polyester. The tag also says dry-clean only, but I've used machine washing and air drying with no problems at all.
